WHAT IS LOW TESTOSTERONE?

Testosterone is a male hormone produced in the testicles that plays a role in sperm production, sexual function and bone and muscle mass. Males with less than 300 ng/dl have Low Testosterone.

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS?

Symptoms may include low sex drive, difficulty with erections, low semen volume, hair loss, fatigue, loss of muscle mass, increased body fat, decreased bone mass, mood changes and the inability to concentrate.

HOW IS IT DIAGNOSED?

Your Esse Health Urologist may check your blood for the level of testosterone, free testosterone, Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG,) and pituitary hormones important in male hormone production.

WHAT ARE THE TREATMENT OPTIONS?
